Ghana attacker David Accam is not ruling out the possibility of winning the CAF player of the year sometime to come.
Accam witness the event as Egypt and Liverpool star Mohamed Salah was named the 2017 CAF player of the year at the Accra International Conference Center on Thursday night.
The 26-year-old has been enjoying some good time at Major League Soccer side Chicago Fire where he ended the season as the second top scorer this season with 14 goals.
The former Helsingborg star is relishing dreams of winning the honorary award in years to come.
“Yes, of course, it is always an honor when I get nomination of win an award,” he told the press.
“You can never tell, I just pray for health and injury free and anything can happen.
“I am still playing active football and doing my best for my Club and as i said i will try and work hard and you can never tell what will happen.”
The Black Stars forward will return to his Club (Chicago Fire) for preseason later this month.
