Gyan commissions Accra Aca ‘Wembley’ pitch July 18

Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan, is set to commission the ultra-modern artificial- pitch at his alma mater Accra Academy Senior High School tomorrow, July 18, 2017.

The modern football pitch which was started some months ago will witness an official opening with great football legends gracing the occasion on the day.

According to an official source, former President Jerry John Rawlings has confirmed his participation with the sitting President, Nana Akufo-Addo yet to confirm his presence.

The pitch was constructed by a Ghanaian private owned firm Wembley Sports Construction Company Limited with its FIFA approved turf partner ‘HATKO’ of Turkey.

The facility which is worth over $250,000 as cost will, however, be managed by Wembley Sports Complex in partnership with the management of the school as well as Gyan’s Foundation.

The commissioning precedes the school’s Homecoming event slated for August 5.
