The Ministry of Sports has stated it is not funding the Black Stars friendly games against Mexico and the USA.
The Sports Ministry has been criticized for not declaring budgets for both games, but the spokesperson for the ministry Elvis Adjei Baah said both games have been fully catered for by the USA and Mexico.
“The FA has furnished us [Ministry] with everything in connection with the two matches,” he told Starr Sports.
“Of course the team cannot travel without the ministry’s consent and so the ministry is aware of all the financial packages, therefore government is not spending a dime on the matches.
“Everything has been catered for and so we are fully aware as far as the two matches are concerned,” Baah added.
The Stars will depart Accra on Saturday for the States where they will play Mexico on June 28th and the USA on July 1st.
